Woman of Glass

It’s 1526 and spirited young Rosa Faceby is destined to work with her father in his glazing business and marry her mother’s choice of husband - but an eighteen-month journey abroad brings changes to her life and weaves it alongside the life of Meaux Abbey.

Plunged into Henry VIII’s tumultuous England she soon encounters for herself the dangers facing the monks. Dangers which make life more difficult and bring death closer to her friends and family as well as herself. Her distant cousin Rauf Faceby may be one of those who brings the destruction of the Abbey.

As anger simmers throughout communities, Rosa holds on to the hope in the coloured windows she loves. Can she find a way through the turmoil and gain loving happiness at last? And will her windows survive or be shattered?
