In this book, the realities of police work are captured through the spoken words of thirty former officers with the Los Angeles Police Department. The most powerful aspect of their words is that they reveal the individuals behind the badge, the individuals you call when in need. The officers, like others who serve in law enforcement, willingly answered the call to put themselves in harm’s way to protect and serve.
