The Museum of Lost and Fragile Things - A Year of Salvage

Suzanne Joinson recounts her childhood within the Divine Light Mission, a 1980s cult that fractured her family and left lasting scars. Years later, she seeks to understand the impact of esoteric practices and psychedelic experiences on her upbringing.

The Museum of Lost and Fragile Things explores mother-daughter dynamics and inherited trauma with delicate prose. Through salvaged objects and fragmented memories, Joinson pieces together a poignant story of resilience and reconciliation. For readers of literary memoirs and stories of self-discovery.
