Anglesey - Then and Now

The island of Môn in north-western Wales has an unique character. Prehistoric man found it a hospitable place to live in and develop early farming practices. The Celts brought their culture and druids here. The Romans came and called it Mona, the Vikings invaded the island they called Anglesey and Norman kings built a fine castle at Beaumaris.
