Surviving Examples of Early Plate Armour (1300-1430) will be a series of four volumes, a lavishly illustrated catalogue of early plate armour. Volume One focuses on the bascinet, the ubiquitous helmet of the period: a detailed record of the surviving pieces, noting their provenance, characteristics, construction details and current whereabouts.
