The American Red Cross in Northern Ireland during the Second World War

An estimated 300,000 US servicemen passed through Northern Ireland during the Second World War. This book documents the development of the American Red Cross clubs and services, and the support they provided these visiting armed forces and their families. It also highlights the efforts of locals who did so much to help create a “home from home”.
