Citizen Science in Biology - The History and Development of Public Participation in Science

We can learn a lot from previous examples of citizen science and especially where data was collected just out of curiosity, only to be used many years later. Looking at citizen science projects can help us appreciate the public understanding of science in a broader context and encourage wider participation.
