Arbitration in Norway

Arbitration in Norway isrecognised as an effective dispute resolution process and is widely used in commercial contracts, both for domestic and international disputes.

This book is the first full presentation of arbitration in Norway in English. The aim has been to provide an updated and practical introduction to how Norwegian arbitrationsare conducted. It covers an arbitration process from start to finish, and discusses other key issues such as advantages and disadvantages of arbitration and what can be regarded as best practice today. It also presents the rules relevant to arbitration in Norway, and includes a translation of the Norwegian Arbitration Act 2004.
