Diuretics - Pharmacology, Therapeutic Uses & Adverse Side Effects

Diuretics are drugs that increase urine water and salt excretion, and for that reason they are widely used for treating arterial hypertension, and edematous states such as decompensated cardiac failure, cirrhosis, and nephropathy.
