Insect Microbiomes

The microbiome of insects is intimately involved in their physiology, ecology, and evolution. This volume summarizes what is known of the microbiome of many different insect groups. For example, termites are able to digest cellulose thanks to their gut microbes. Honeybees make honey, in part, with the help of microbes.
