Introduction to the Science of Medical Imaging

Biological systems are characterized by complex structures that are invisible to the human eye. Biomedical imaging such as MRI, CT, ultrasound enable us to view these structures non-invasively. This book describes and illustrates how these images are created, analyzed and applied to important biomedical problems such as diseases.
