The main purpose of this book is to find out those future trends whichwill deeply influence conference tourism and the research ofappropriate marketing strategies. It compares Hong Kong and Vienna,which are both representative cities of the conference tourism in Asiaand Europe respectively.A portfolio analysis of both conference cities was made to facilitate adirect comparison. In order to define future trends in conferencetourism, the author used a funnel-system. First global trends wereanalysed, followed by trends in Asia and Europe. After a categorisationof the future trends in tourism, new directions for conference tourismwere established.Future trends in conference tourism have been categorised in sixsections which are explained in the book.
