Children's Creative Music-Making with Reflexive Interactive Technology - Adventures in improvising and composing

This book discusses the key ideas and pedagogical interventions behind research with young children, aged 4-10, while developing two new software applications for improvising and composing. MIROR Impro and MIROR Compo are based on the concept of reflective interaction, which advocates and supports the need for children’s own ideas to be taken into account during creative music-making, enhancing children’s agency and musical identity.
