This activity book is designed for 7-12-year-olds and is full of engaging, strength-based activities that encourage the child to colour, decorate and annotate the book to make it their own, as well as to reflect on how they feel about their forthcoming trip.
The text normalises worry as a response to something new and helps children to understand any worries and build bravery as they work through the book. Pages look at how to get ready for the trip and compile a -toolbox- of effective coping skills to embrace challenge. The book provides an opportunity for post-trip reflection, too, and concludes with activities that bring together the journey through the pages, helping to solidify engagement with the text and increase wellbeing and self-esteem.
