Parzival - A Forerunner of the Modern Human Being

The story of Parzival is taught in Steiner-Waldorf schools around the world in Classes 11 to 12 (ages 16 to 18). The valiant quests of Parzival, knight of King Arthur's Round Table, provide an epic coming-of-age-story for older teenagers. The medieval text by Wolfram von Eschenbach has endured through the ages because of its timeless symbolism. Sonia Setzer has taught this story for many years and here offers her creative approaches to sharing the tale and offers insights into the images woven into the text. This book is an invaluable resource for Steiner-Waldorf Upper School teachers and a fascinating read for anyone who wants to understand the power and meaning of this timeless tale.
