Catholicism Today - An Introduction to the Contemporary Catholic Church

Catholicism Today provides an accessible, non-confessional, non-partisan introduction to contemporary Catholicism. This book explores the structure of the Catholic Church, the beliefs and doctrines it promotes, Catholic rituals, the Catholic calendar, and the many complex challenges the Catholic Church faces today and will continue to face in the coming decades. This entirely revised second edition takes into consideration both changes in the Church and changes in the general society that took place since the first edition came out. Catholicism Today can be useful to students of religion, scholars of other faith traditions, and anyone, including Catholics, who is interested in exploring Catholicism from a neutral, academic perspective.
