Confessing God - Essays in Christian Dogmatics II

In this invaluable contribution to systematic theology, John Webster gives voice to a reordered conception of the substance of Christian teaching. With a new preface, readers can rediscover this classic work which lays bare the content and consequences of Christian teaching about God’s perfection.

Originally a companion volume to his earlier work, Word and Church, Confessing God gives readers a worked example of ‘theological theology’, that is, Christian theology which takes its rise in the Christian confession of the gospel which seeks to hear, celebrate and commend. They explore the substance of the Christian confession and the nature, ends and setting of Christian theology.

This valuable and rigorous work is sure to be of use of any student of systematic theology.
