This is a political, cultural and intellectual biography of the neglected but significant figure, Henry Redhead Yorke, a West Indian of African/British descent who became the most revolutionary radical in Britain between 1792-5 and then recanted to loyalism. It considers politicization and identity construction in the Georgian Atlantic World.
