Take my Yoke

When Jesus invited us to take His yoke, He was not offering us a new load to bear. Rather He was inviting us to find rest in the Father’s embrace and to be enfolded into a promise as old as creation itself.

Blending personal experience, rich contextual insights and faithful study of the Scriptures, Take My Yoke shows how Jesus the rabbi brought a new ‘yoke of interpretation’ to the Mosaic Law. Captured in the parable of the prodigal son, this revolutionary teaching can free us from the burden of religion and compulsive performance, as much as from the mess we can all make of our lives.

If your faith has lost its freshness, or if you feel worn thin by the demands of life and ministry, accept Christ’s invitation to discover true rest in His gentle, freeing yoke of grace.
