The book comprises a total of twelve chapters, each addressing a specific aspect of experimental design in agriculture. Chapter I focuses on terminology related to experimental design, while Chapter II delves into completely randomized block design and randomized block design for agricultural experiments in the field. Chapter III is devoted to factorial experiments in randomized block design involving two or more factors. Chapter IV deals with partially confounded and fully confounded factorial experiments, and Chapter V focuses on split plot design and strip plot design, which are more cost-effective options. Chapter VI is devoted to repetition of experiments over years, with sampling in agricultural trials at cultivators fields. Chapter VII explores the sustainability of crop sequences and treatments, while Chapter VIII delves into the analysis of trials at cultivators fields. Chapter IX deals with sampling techniques, and Chapter X is concerned with correlation and regression studies. Chapter XI discusses agronomic considerations and the synthesis of system-based results, while Chapter XII provides a methodology and procedure for farming systems research.
