Reimagining Democracy - Communication Activism, Social Justice, and Prefiguration in Participatory Budgeting

This book presents findings from a community-based critical ethnography of two participatory budgeting processes in Denver, Colorado. Providing detailed descriptions of activist communication, the book offers lessons about the state of democratic culture in the US and alternative pathways for public decision making that can realize social justice.
