The Metaphysics of Technology

What is technology, and why does it have such power in our lives? In this book, Skrbina adopts a classic metaphysical approach. Drawing on the Greeks, he argues for a teleological metaphysics in which increasing order in the universe is itself defined as a technological process. All of reality thus constitutes a technical sphere, a "pantechnikon," of universal scope. This volume will be an essential addition to the philosophy of technology.
