The Politics of Welfare State Reform in Continental Europe - Modernization in Hard Times

This book proposes a new theoretical and methodological approach to the study of welfare state change through an analysis of pension reforms in continental Europe. It shows that governments were able to construct support for pension reform by taking advantage of an increasingly multidimensional policy space to create political coalitions.
