This collection of essays has been put together in honour of Professor Andrew K. Kennedy on his 70th birthday. It is a recognition and appreciation of his contribution to international scholarship, as well as an expression of our gratitude for what he has meant to students and colleagues.
The title reflects the range of Andrew K. Kennedy's literary interests, both as a scholar and a creative writer. The wealth of different approaches, written by an international set of literary scholars, echoes the diversity of Andrew's own interests, although fittingly the main thrust is on drama from Shakespeare to Beckett.
