Pragmatism as Transition - Historicity and Hope in James, Dewey, and Rorty

Proposes a recovery of pragmatism by way of "transitionalist" themes of temporality and historicity which flourish in the work of the early pragmatists and continue in contemporary neopragmatist thought.
