A course in English intonation - received pronunciation

The course material is presented in ten structured units, and discussion of the use and meaning of the intonation patterns is presented as each pattern is introduced. This book is intended for use at the level of university foundation courses in English and courses training teachers of English as a foreign language. Recordings of the examples and exercises are available separately on audio-cassettes, and the course is therfore also suitable for independent study. With suggestions for further reading.
