This novel begins as on his deathbed, the painter, through the eyes of his beautiful young wife, steps back into his past… Caught between two realities, Pieter Brueghel, born to poverty and oppression, was also divinely gifted. In his studio, he would turn into a madman, wildly seeking his double who had been sent by God to reveal the truth of creation.
