The English language - a text-based resource book : from increased awareness to improved writing

The book offers a new and integrated approach to the study of English for undergraduate students. The author aims to give readers increased awareness of the resources of the language on the basis of their use in a wide selection of original texts. The book contains separate chapters on the building blocks of the language, on guidelines for good writing, on differences between Norwegian and English grammar, on the huge vocabulary of the English language, on characteristics of different genres, as well as one on the interface between language and literature. Has bibliography and index.
