Cross-cultural Research in Cognitive Grammar - A Comparative Study of Medical Promotion Discourses

This book examines the grammatical representations of words in English and Chinese medical promotion discourse from a cross-cultural perspective, the content they represent, and the processes involved. It aims to identify the types and frequencies of words that play different roles in empirical analysis of grammatically based cognitive construction models, including real and concrete supporting evidence from empirical and comparative studies. This book tackles a range of perspective-related metonymic use, verb stimuli related to dynamic productivity, deeply ingrained and fundamental modality formation in sentences, and their emergence in the interpretation of medical business discourse.
