Cross Examination features 33 works of art from the Tia Collection that portray the shape, symbol or ideology of the cross. Offering the reader a unique view of these works through real size reproductions, this book provides an intimate and immersive journey among these masterpieces. An essay by Bernard Marcadé and an interview with the collector by Grazia Quaroni illuminate the works and invite us to discover a singular perspective on Art History, in which theology and literature unite to create a "cross examination" of this familiar and disputed iconography.
