Dance and the formation of Norden - emergences and struggles

Concentrating on the 20th and 21st century, the book gives focus to the role of dance in the formation of Norden. In doing so it sheds light on a topic not previously researched. The book aims to change this by including dance activity in theatrical, folkloric as well as social contexts, and contextualizing the phenomena in the wider cultural, historical and political making of the region. The book is intended for an international readership with an interest in dance in all its manifestations.
