Hot Ashes for Trees

A series of images documenting the end of youth, embodied by burning fires and the presence of trees. Rotten Books presents Hot Ashes for Trees, by Swedish photographer Milton Vestbrant.

Compiled from an archive spanning 2018–2025, the work reflects on adolescence as a transient state shaped by destruction, growth, and memory.
