Steam on Scottish Metals

A vibrant selection of Henry Elliott’s images documents a steam tour around Scotland, covering the East side, the Central belt and the West side up towards Inverness and the Kyle of Lochalsh. A variety of railtours are included as well as the legendary Jacobite train, renowned as the ‘Hogwarts Express’ in the Harry Potter films, and the twenty-one-arched Glenfinnan Viaduct, also made famous in those films. A splendid array of locomotives is showcased, including the celebrated Flying Scotsman, pictured crossing the UNESCO heritage site of the Forth Bridge near Edinburgh. Also, just over the border from Scotland, the Royal Border Bridge which carries the East Coast mainline into Berwick-upon-Tweed is pictured.
