Die Münzprägung von Apollonia Pontike - Die Bildthemen Einer Griechischen Polis Im Pontisch-Thrakischen Raum

This book deals with coin minting in the Milesian colony of Apollonia Poncia from the Classical to the Severan period. This comprehensive study of dies produces a new chronology and typology, which are embedded within a historical and archaeological context. The parallel analysis of the iconography, metrology, and distribution of finds sheds new light on the commercial interests of the Greek-Thracian polis.
