Demeter and Persephone - Lessons from a Myth

This work demonstrates the continued importance and relevance of the myth of Demeter and Persephone to today's society. It summarizes the Homeric story and discusses topics such as the role of female mentoring, the subject of rape, and the meaning of the underworld and the role of Hades.
