Nemi - sugar and reptiles

Nemi is a gloomy, deathly pale goth girl, who dresses all in black and feels most at home at the pub - with a beer in one hand and a cigarette in the other.

The series began in 1999 as a daily comic strip in the Dagbladet newspaper, and quickly became popular. That same year, Lise Myhre won the City of Bergen-s Comic Book Prize for newcomers. In 2002, she was awarded the City of Oslo-s Artist Prize for her `outstanding contribution to the arts in Oslo-. Nemi was given her own magazine in 2003, and fifteen collections of Nemi comic strips have been published so far.
