Gawain is 780 years old, tired and drinks to forget. Once a knight of Arthur's court, he is cursed by Merlin to roam the earth on a quest to uncover betrayal and murder. He has spent centuries chasing death while longing for his own.
Destiny calls him to Sempringham Priory where a young novice lies dead. Gawain is drawn into a web of lies, forbidden passions and deadly secrets.
