The Bologna Vendetta

The archbishop of Bologna calls in the Faidate to look into (cover up, in reality) a scandal involving the misappropriation of funds which has seen the church lose hundreds of thousands on property. He is particularly concerned because with the old Pope in St Peter''s he may be in with a chance for the top job. Another problem is that the priest under suspicion is a local legend - a liberal who has reached out to the gay community - and the archbishop doesn''t want to be seen to be persecuting him. Daniel is teamed up with the archbishop''s enforcer, and Bologna''s official exorcist, to crack the case, which will lead to murder, and wild claims of possession...
