It-s late summer 1940, and Isla-s Donahue-s idyllic lifestyle comes to an abrupt end when her father sends her to the harsh confines of the poorhouse. Determined to find a way to escape, Isla quickly enlists the help of her new friends, and together they leave the hellhole that is Coxhill for a new life in Liverpool.
