Leopold & Lyra

If even Mozart is a fake, what can we truly believe in this world? What if Mozart were a fraud? What if he and his father, Leopold, conspired to conceal the true authorship of the masterpieces that have beguiled the world? 200 years after Leopold’s death, young curator Lyra discovers the old man’s deathbed confession . . . and an astounding revelation that could shatter the legend of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s genius forever. Meanwhile, ambitious orphan Lyra is immersed in a conspiracy of her own: a marriage of convenience to her gay best friend that, if revealed, could destroy the only person she has ever loved. Leopold & Lyra is a novel of momentous secrets, unspooling in twin testimonies written two centuries apart. A story of obsessive love – between two friends, between father and son – and the appalling consequences that betrayal can bring.
