Somewhere in Ireland a young woman takes a risk late one night and ends up dream-scaling the consequences. Caught in the clutches of fear with a dangerous character during a long car journey, she rakes through her past to assess what kind of future she might have had as time, place, memory and meaning begin to dissolve. She arrives at a small house close to a motorway with just the company of other buried women to talk to. Here she fantasises of escape and wonders who might be out looking for her, and builds up the strength to fight back.

Little Town Moone examines what it means to be female in a country with a long history of devaluing women, where misogyny is often overlooked as a cultural by-product of bleaker times. Part-fable, part-thriller, it is a poetic examination of trauma, fortitude and hopefully, liberation.
