Man Running

Can Max Fabien be turning into an honest man? Has he been infected by his lover Armand's devotion to truth and honour? Certainly, he is now deeply ashamed of the fraudulent schemes of his youth and wishes only to forget his past. He loves the free and peaceful life he and Armand enjoy at the Hôtel de Miremont, so long as the peace lasts. The vengeful Miremont family hovers threateningly. And it seems other powerful forces will not let Max's dark secrets stay buried. He tries to tell the truth - he's not the missing heir they are searching for. But is anyone listening? His old dream of stolen glory begins to seem tempting… Man Running is the third and final part of the Miremont trilogy, charting the course of a gay love affair between an aristocrat and a former servant in Belle Époque France.
