Yorkie Boys - Growing up in the Yorkshire Dales of the 1950s

Set in the Yorkshire Dales of the 1950s, Yorkie Boys tells the down-to-earth story of the growing pains of a gang of kids.
In a pre-PC world, their behaviour mirrors the innocence of a lost age. Their humorous exploits explore the pains and delights of their early sexual encounters. Mischievous adventures and hilarious conflicts pervade the book in a beautifully-crafted re-creation of post-war Britain, a world without toys, a world where the kids had everything, but nothing.
Tragic elements are sensitively drawn in this fascinating portrayal of a forgotten world.
