The series takes place in 17th century Christiana, a time when religion and the fear of God preyed on the minds of the country’s population and where witches were being burned at the stake in every nook and cranny across the country.

But this was also a time where industry was developing. In the series we follow Sunniva’s struggle to survive and her meeting with the foundry where her relatives eventually will live and work.
