'Brilliant, fast-paced (and very, very funny!)' Pamela Butchart

'A fiendishly fun new world of monsters, myth and mayhem. ' Jon Lock and Nich Angell, bestselling creators of Tiny Hercules

Wednesday meets Pamela Butchart in the second book in a fang-tastically funny adventure series about ordinary kid and reluctant vampire Alex Abbott by award-winning author Louise Austin. Perfect for readers of 8 to 12.

Eleven-year-old Alex is an ordinary kid, who just happens to be a reluctant vampire. When supernatural friends in Alex’s home town start vanishing, Alex and human schoolfriends, Archie and Mia, are determined to help. Convinced a powerful enemy is responsible, the friends set out on a wild goose chase to a mythical island to confront the legendary witch goddess Circe.

After a disastrous encounter that sees Alex temporarily transformed into a snail (seriously!), they start to wonder if the real villain is much closer to home. Alex must gamble everything in a deadly challenge to rescue everyone before it’s too late!
