When Mostyn, an aging Pembrokeshirefarmer on the brink of bankruptcy, runsinto young Jethro, his fortunes appearto take a positive turn. The pair secretlymobilise the locals of the village pub tohelp put on the greatest money-spinningevent in the history of Little Emlyn:Lewistock. But things do not go to plan. Moneylenders, drug dealers, the countycouncil and the bank all set a collisioncourse with Mostyn and Jethro.
