This book provides a solid foundation of computer networking knowledge and skills, covering everything from network performance evaluation to socket programming. The text describes a number of computer network protocols and TCP/IP and OSI models, and then shows how to use the NS2 to simulate the protocols for both wired and wireless networks. The authors include nearly 90 example programs, scripts, and outputs, along with several hands-on exercises requiring application of the theory and programming to instill a deeper understanding of how network protocols work.
