Contextualism and Essays on Architectural History and Theory

A collection of essays published from the 1970s to the present on architectural theory and architectural history. Either consciously or unconsciously, architecture comes to embody the most stable and persistent values of a culture, and through this institutions become symbolised by their buildings; their values become associated with architectural forms. These forms represent the architect’s judgements of the natural world and the built environment.
