Necromancer. Vali''s accustomed to the slurs and slandering. After all, she is a spirit caller with a demonic familiar. That doesn''t mean that she''s going to take shit from anybody. Not even the three demons who have deemed her worthy of harassment, or the lionshifter who has hired her to solve the murders and disappearances in her pride. That might be the reason why Vali and her familiar, Erebus, can''t seem to catch a break that and her unquenchable curiosity. But when it comes to making deals with demons and hunting down cults, both of these traits could end up with her dead.
With the help of their lionshifter "babysitter," Felix Blue, Vali and Erebus must use their unique abilities to call upon the spirits and uncover clues to the mysterious shifter murders. But what starts as a simple case of a serial killer quickly turns into a complex, intergenerational web of secrets, lies, and twisted, dark magic. Everyone must proceed with caution or risk not just their own but also their comrades'' lives. Yet it could be Vali''s unique brand of luck and dangerous curiosity that could save the day, or unleash a worse power upon the mortal realm.
