Loyal to the Soil

A brilliant debut from an unabashedly inquisitive Iranian-Canadian poet; Kohan asks questions about self-harm, about the role of Brown womanhood in Canada, about the protests and upheaval overtaking Iran. As personal as it is political, this collection reveals the journey of one young woman fighting to find herself and her place in the world.
